Meet the Doctors

Dr. Jodie Spencer

Dr. Jodie Spencer

Board Certified Pediatric Dentists

Jodie (Stickley) Spencer was born and raised in Maryville, Missouri. She began dental school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City on a full-ride Navy scholarship after accepting a commission as a Naval officer in 1999. The Spencers spent three years in Japan on assignment from the Navy, during which time their two youngest children, Madison and Brady were born. During their tour in Japan, Dr. Jodie was chosen as Junior Officer of the Quarter and Junior Officer of the Year of the hospital in which she worked-the first dentist to be recognized as such. She was also awarded two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and one Navy Commendation Medal during that tour, a significant achievement for such a short period of time.

Dr. Jodie loves her job as a pediatric dentist and treats each patient with a gentle Mother's touch. The Spencers are adamant that each patient is treated as if they were their own child, and are thrilled to have such a wonderful staff. In her free time, Dr. Jodie loves spending time with her family, and often can be found having family "campouts" in the living room on weekends. Other beloved family activities include boating, traveling, and lots of trips to the library and bookstore as she and her children are all avid readers.

Dr. Jodie Spencer is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as well as a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the Greater Kansas City Dental Society, and the Eastern Jackson County Dental Association.

Upon completion of his enlisted service, he studied at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and later graduated with Honors in Pediatric Dentistry and receiving the prestigious Arthur Iwersen Award for Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

During his free time, Dr. Glynn enjoys restoring and building vehicles, especially the Jeep he "borrowed" from Dr. Jodie. Glynn also loves football, boating, hiking, hunting, fishing, and spending as much time as possible with his family.

Dr. Glynn is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the Greater Kansas City Dental Society, and the Eastern Jackson County Dental Association.

Dr. Logan Childers

Dr. Logan Childers Jr.

Board Certified Pediatric Dentist

After opening their practice in Lee's Summit, the Spencers were fortunate enough to meet Dr. Logan Childers, Jr., a pediatric dentist who has practiced in Independence, MO for the past 43 years. Dr. Childers still sees patients a few days a week and even though he has cut back on his chairside time. Dr. Childers went into private practice in 1969, and he has been happily practicing pediatric dentistry ever since.

Dr. Childers and his wife have three children, Brad, Todd, and Holly. Between the three children they have been blessed with many grandchildren, all who live less than 20 minutes away from the Childers. They are often found at soccer games, recitals, and other events with their beloved grandchildren and adore spending time with them. Dr. Childers constantly amazes everyone with his high energy level and zest for life.

Our Services

Children’s Care

From infants to teens, our skilled dental team is familiar with the unique needs of every patient, no matter their age. Our goal is to help them develop great oral habits that will last them a lifetime.

Digital X-Rays

Our use of digital x-ray technology reduces radiation exposure and eliminates the use of chemicals. It’s better for your child and the environment. It's also easy to see what the doctor sees, and make informed choices about treatment.

Professional Cleanings

Professional cleanings form the foundation for preventing gum disease and tooth decay. We provide a gentle and thorough cleaning of the teeth and mouth and finish with a polish that removes stains from your child’s teeth.

Dental Fillings

The common silver filling contains mercury. Our doctor uses the highest-quality biocompatible, tooth-colored restorations to create healthy, beautiful smiles without all of the prep-work associated with traditional fillings.

Crowns

Protect and keep badly decayed or fractured teeth while maintaining a beautiful smile. Made to perfectly match the shape and shade of your other teeth, they’re durable, strong, and undetectable.

Patient Comfort

Our office was designed with your child in mind. Our unique atmosphere helps children relax and enjoy their dental experience. Children deserve to experience a gentle, caring approach to dental care.
