Meet the Team

Dr. Jodie Spencer
Jodie (Stickley) Spencer was born and raised in Maryville, Missouri. An honors graduate of Maryville High School, Dr. Jodie went on to complete her undergraduate work at Northwest Missouri State University, receiving her bachelor's degree in Pre-professional Zoology in 1999. She began dental school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City on a full-ride Navy scholarship after accepting a commission as a Naval officer in 1999. Dr. Jodie was active as a member of the Psi Omega dental fraternity and was selected to be part of the honors oral surgery program in dental school. She was awarded the prestigious Golden Forceps award upon graduation for her clinical excellence in oral surgery. Dr. Jodie was fortunate enough to have the Navy select her for post-doctoral training in pediatric dentistry, and was accepted at Indiana University for residency. After graduating dental school in 2003, Dr. Jodie moved to Indianapolis for training and it was during that time that she met Dr. Glynn and fell in love with him! They were married soon after and accepted orders to Japan together after her residency was completed in 2005. Dr. Jodie was lucky enough to have married a man with two beautiful girls, and she adores her oldest daughters, Annie and Sarah.
The Spencers spent three years in Japan, during which time their two youngest children, Madison and Brady were born. During their tour in Japan, Dr. Jodie was chosen as Junior Officer of the Quarter and Junior Officer of the Year of the hospital in which she worked-the first dentist to be recognized as such. She was also awarded two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and one Navy Commendation Medal during that tour, a significant achievement for such a short period of time. After completing their tour in Japan, the Spencers moved to Great Lakes, Illinois where they completed their last tour of service before moving on to private practice.
In her free time, Dr. Jodie loves spending time with her family, and often can be found having family "campouts" in the living room on weekends. Dr. Jodie also loves to cook and spends much time designing and perfecting original recipes as well as teaching her children how to cook. Other beloved family activities include boating, traveling, and lots of trips to the library and bookstore as she and her children are all avid readers.
Dr. Jodie loves her job as a pediatric dentist and treats each patient with a gentle Mother's touch. The Spencers are adamant that each patient is treated as if they were their own child, and are thrilled to have such a wonderful staff. Dr. Jodie is excited to be a part of the Lee's Summit community and looks forward to many years serving the families here!
Dr. Jodie Spencer is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as well as a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the Greater Kansas City Dental Society, and the Eastern Jackson County Dental Association.

Paula Schultz
Paula Schultz, our practice administrator, grew up in Independence Missouri, where she graduated from Van Horn High School. She attended college at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, during which time she met her husband Rick on a spring break trip to Galveston Island in Texas.
